The taiga stretches across Canada, Europe and Asia. It is the
largest biome. Winters are cold. Summers are warm. Many coniferous trees
(evergreens with needles) grow in the taiga. The taiga has fewer animal species
than the tropical or temperate deciduous forests. Many tropical birds migrate to the taiga in the summer to nest. Why do so many birds come here?
